Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Server to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Set tables according to type of event and service standards
  • Answer questions on menu selections and provide recommendations
  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, and product availability
  • Record transactions in our point-of-sale system
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course and/or beverage
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc.
  • Complete closing duties, including restocking and turning off lights
  • Present physical and accurate checks to guests and process payments

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 1 year of related work experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a food and beverage role
  • Knowledge of wine and spirits
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
