Position Overview

As a Food Service Team Leader at Tophat Billiards, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant. Your leadership will ensure that our team delivers exceptional service and maintains high standards of food quality.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of College/CEGEP or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
Work Environment

This position is set within a vibrant restaurant atmosphere, where teamwork and customer satisfaction are paramount.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules.
  • Order food and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate the ingredients and supplies necessary for meal preparation.
  • Recruit and hire food service personnel.
  • Ensure that food quality and service meet established standards.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
Supervision

You will be responsible for supervising a team of approximately 5-10 individuals.

Support Initiatives
  • Assist in recruiting newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disasters.
  • Support newcomers and refugees in recognizing their foreign credentials.
  • Provide tailored on-the-job training for youth.
