We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at Mission Memorial Hospital. As a Relief Full Time Social Worker (BSW), you will provide psychosocial assessments and therapeutic clinical counselling services to clients in the assigned clinical areas.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of clients using a variety of modalities and in accordance with professional standards and clinical policies and practices.
- Provide basic therapeutic clinical counselling services to clients based on a psychosocial assessment, identifying areas of client/system strength and challenge in addressing the psychosocial/emotional components of illness, injury, and disease.
- Educate and provide consultation to clients and healthcare professionals on issues related to Social Work practice and area of clinical specialty.
- Maintain client records by documenting client assessments, charting client information, and preparing progress notes and reports in accordance with established professional/organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement by participating as a member of local committees and planning bodies, engaging in program/practice evaluation, and identifying opportunities for change.
- Bachelor's Degree of Social Work from an accredited school of Social Work.
- One (1) year's recent, related experience.
- Current full registration with the BC College of Social Workers.
