We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team at Newworld Cabinets Ltd. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of finish work on our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create high-quality finishes.
- Prepare tenders and quotations to estimate costs and materials for projects.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to create a solid base for our projects.
- Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a seamless finish.
- Scheduling and coordinating work on sites to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Surveying building locations and levels to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Instructing apprentices to share your knowledge and skills.
- Estimating costs and materials to ensure projects are completed within budget.
- Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various settings.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
- Work setting: Construction, Renovation, Willing to relocate, Residential, Equipment operation.
- Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools.
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Handling heavy loads, Overtime required, Physically demanding, Tight deadlines, Fast-paced environment.
- Personal suitability: Accurate, Judgement, Reliability, Team player, Values and ethics, Punctuality.
