Job Title: Labour Relations Advisor

At Transat AT, we are seeking a highly skilled Labour Relations Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our human resources department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on labour relations matters, including collective bargaining, employment law, and workplace conflict resolution.
  • Represent the employer in discussions and negotiations with union representatives, ensuring that the company's interests are protected.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain a harmonious working relationship between employees, managers, and union representatives.
  • Act as a resource person for first-level managers and the human resources team, providing support and guidance on labour relations matters.
  • Conduct research and analysis on labour laws and regulations, ensuring that the company is compliant with all relevant requirements.
  • Participate in and lead labour relations committees, working collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve issues and improve working relationships.
  • Facilitate and structure grievance meetings, ensuring that all parties are heard and that issues are resolved fairly and efficiently.
  • Advise managers on labour relations matters, providing guidance on employment law, collective bargaining, and workplace conflict resolution.
  • Represent the employer in administrative tribunals, ensuring that the company's interests are protected.
Qualifications:
  • University diploma in Labour Relations or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience as a Labour Relations Advisor or a similar title.
  • Oral and written fluency in French and English.
  • Knowledge of the Canada Labour Code (an asset).
  • Leadership and proactive skills.
  • Client-oriented and strong ability to influence others and communication skills.
  • Team spirit and creative thinking.
