About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop native Android applications using Java, RxJava, Retrofit, Ok Dagger, Junit, and Espresso.
  • Provide hands-on architectural design for Android applications with a deep understanding of design patterns such as MVP and MVVM.
  • Utilize Agile technical principles and adapt to new and evolving environments.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, usability, and performance.
  • Build Android accessibility components to improve application usability.
Requirements
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Cloud native development and deployment experience.
  • Eager to mentor, teach, and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Passionate about driving teams towards high performance and quality craftsmanship.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to distill technical details into human terms.
