Job Summary

The City of Brandon is seeking a skilled Truck & Transport Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a diverse range of vehicles, including trucks, emergency vehicles, and construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with vehicles
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and tire rotations
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve maintenance goals
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless vehicle operation
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Interprovincial (Red Seal) Journeyperson Truck and Transport Mechanic certification
  • Valid Class 3 with Air endorsement Province of Manitoba driver's license
  • Manitoba Vehicle Inspection number for all vehicles excluding motor homes, automobiles, and motorcycles
  • Emergency First Aid certificate
Preferred Qualifications
  • MOPIA Environmental ODS certificate
