Key Responsibilities- Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify faults and malfunctions in transportation equipment.
- Repair and Maintain Equipment: Perform repairs and maintenance on transportation equipment, including adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components as needed.
- Perform Scheduled Maintenance: Complete scheduled maintenance services to ensure the optimal performance and safety of our fleet.
- Record Problems and Work Performed: Maintain accurate records of problems encountered and work performed on transportation equipment.
- Collaborate with Supervisors: Work closely with supervisors to determine the best course of action for repairs and maintenance.
- Education and Experience: Possess a Registered Apprenticeship certificate and 5 years or more of experience in the transportation equipment industry, or equivalent experience.
- Certifications and Licenses: Hold a Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification and a Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement.
- Apprenticeship Training: Have completed Level four and Level five apprenticeship training.
- Area of Specialization: Possess expertise in diagnostics and truck-trailer repair.
- Transportation and Travel: Be willing to relocate for this position and have access to reliable transportation.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the job.
- Tools and Equipment: Possess the necessary tools and equipment to perform the duties of the job.

- Work Term and Hours: Work on a permanent basis, with a standard 40-hour workweek.
