About Jubilee Centre: Jubilee Centre (CJC) is a premier facility dedicated to recovery-oriented services in Addiction and Mental Health. We provide high-intensity, medically supported Mental Health Crisis and Withdrawal Management Services, along with Treatment and Rehabilitation Services, Primary Care, and temporary housing in a cohesive therapeutic community setting.
Position Overview: We are in search of a dynamic and driven professional to assume the role of Advanced Practice Nurse (APN)/Nursing Supervisor (NS). This leadership position is pivotal in enhancing our nursing services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and mentor a dedicated team of front-line nursing staff.
- Strategically plan and execute innovative, integrated nursing and medically supported services aimed at improving access, quality, and availability of specialized Addiction and Mental Health Treatment, Mental Health Crisis/WMS, and Primary Care.
Qualifications:
- CNA certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in primary care and mental health/addictions is preferred.
- Certification in Controlled Drugs and Substances: Essential Management and Prescribing Practices is preferred.
- Training in prescribing OAT/ORT and anti-craving therapies is preferred.
Additional Skills:
- Experience in policy formulation, program development, and evaluation is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse and marginalized communities, employing an equity-focused approach.
- Demonstrated experience in community-based Addiction and Mental Health settings, particularly in Opioid/Alcohol Withdrawal Management and Harm Reduction.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in IT systems for documentation and data management.
- Flexibility and a positive attitude are essential for this role.
- Indigenous cultural competency and the ability to integrate traditional healing practices are preferred.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties as needed.
Preferred Attributes:
- Fluency in Cree, Ojibway, or Oji-Cree languages is an asset.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is advantageous.
- Personal experience with mental health and/or substance use disorders, particularly in a sustained recovery phase, is valued.
