Building Operations Specialist

What We're Looking ForWe're seeking self-starters who can find their own way, inquisitive and curious team members, and individuals willing to participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements include a 4th or 5th Class Power Engineering certificate, a minimum of five years of building operating experience, and knowledge of building HVAC, plumbing, electrical, building automation systems, and life safety systems.
We're looking for individuals with exceptional communication, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills, as well as the ability to easily adopt new technology and innovative business solutions.
What You'll DoYou'll perform daily building operations tasks, including building maintenance and repairs, monitoring and operating steam, hot water heating, and pressure equipment as per ABSA regulations.
You'll also monitor and liaise with maintenance staff and subcontractors, maintain water treatment programs, work with preventative maintenance programs, conduct regular building equipment checks and inspections, and respond to tenant service requests and emergencies.
You'll ensure site logbooks and administrative records are maintained and up to date, provide operational support for Edon's in-house security and caretaking services, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule with other team members.
