Job Title: Director, Health Informatics

Job Summary:

The Director, Health Informatics is a senior leadership position responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to the development, implementation, and maintenance of health informatics programs and systems within Fraser Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of health informatics programs and systems.
  • Develop and recommend strategic plans, goals, and objectives for health informatics programs and systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of health informatics systems and standards.
  • Lead projects related to health informatics, including defining project scope, developing project plans, and evaluating project results.
  • Provide recommendations to senior management and executive on areas of non-compliance with provincial informatics and eHealth requirements.
  • Manage designated staff, including selecting, directing, monitoring, and disciplining staff as needed.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely reporting of information and develop, implement, evaluate, and update quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field.
  • 10 years of recent related health informatics management experience, including 3 years in progressively more senior leadership roles in a large complex organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health informatics, trends, and best practices.
  • Ability to operate related equipment, including applicable software applications.
