This role is vital in assisting individuals to uphold their independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personal care and support to clients in their homes.
  • Assist with daily living activities to promote independence.
  • Maintain a respectful and compassionate relationship with clients.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both English and French.
  • Completion of Grade 12 education.
  • Possession of a Home Care Attendant Certificate or Health Care Aide Certificate with a community component.
  • Understanding of Safe Food Handling practices.
  • Prior experience with elderly or disabled individuals is preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong attendance and work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

  • Successful completion of background checks including Criminal Record, Vulnerable Sector, Adult Abuse Registry, and Child Abuse Registry.
  • Immunizations as required by policy.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to an insured vehicle.
