Position Overview: Member Financial Advisor
We are seeking a passionate Member Financial Advisor to join our energetic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with Members by understanding their financial situations and goals through open-ended discussions.
- Provide personalized, needs-based financial advice by creating and presenting tailored solutions that align with Members' objectives.
- Utilize strong analytical skills to recommend credit solutions, including mortgages, loans, lines of credit, and credit cards.
- Offer sound investment guidance and identify suitable options such as term deposits, TFSAs, mutual funds, and other wealth management solutions.
- Assist in opening new Member accounts and providing various banking solutions to meet their needs.
- Generate referrals for complex financial needs to our specialized teams.
- Deliver exceptional service by maintaining regular communication and providing timely, value-added information to Members.
- Work towards achieving individual and branch goals while prioritizing the best interests of our Members.
- Identify opportunities for business development within the community and engage in outreach to attract new Members.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures while completing tasks accurately.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a financial services sales environment, with at least 1 year in an advisory capacity demonstrating a successful sales record.
- Possession of or progress towards a mutual funds license.
- Familiarity with a variety of credit and investment products.
Skills and Attributes:
- Passionate about delivering excellent Member service and helping others achieve their financial aspirations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong relationship management and business acumen.
- Proven sales capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM or related software is an asset.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
