Position Overview:

The Sewing Operations Support Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining production efficiency by stepping in during staff absences, including vacations, illness, and other unforeseen circumstances. This role requires versatility and adaptability, as the specialist will work across various categories as directed by the production manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage for absenteeism in sewing operations for all active styles or new samples within the designated category.
  • Function as a piecework operator, ensuring accurate scanning of completed tasks under the appropriate job numbers.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new operations across different styles to enhance cross-training and skill development.
  • Assist in the production of pre-production samples and other related tasks.
  • Complete assignments as directed by the production supervisor.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience operating industrial sewing machines.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse group of operators.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and concepts related to apparel production.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and committed to achieving goals.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Open to floating between different operations as needed.
