Job Overview:

The Research Coordinator is tasked with leveraging specialized expertise to initiate, execute, oversee, and harmonize moderate to extensive research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate a strategic plan for the execution of research projects.
  • Create marketing strategies and associated materials to boost engagement and support for research initiatives.
  • Conduct quantitative assessments of research findings.
  • Engage with study participants to collect both qualitative and quantitative insights.
  • Lead focus group discussions with project participants.
  • Organize and supervise the gathering, processing, entry, validation, analysis, and dissemination of data. Manage the design and upkeep of databases, data collection instruments, error-checking protocols, and related systems for data management and reporting.
  • Utilize specialized knowledge and scientific methodologies to evaluate, critically assess, and interpret existing literature.
  • Draft sections of scientific manuscripts, funding requests, grants, and abstracts.
  • Coordinate the efforts of research personnel and resources to ensure projects adhere to established timelines.
  • Estimate time and resource requirements for research endeavors.
  • Employ statistical software for data analysis and result interpretation.
  • Prepare documentation for data management and operational procedures for projects.
  • Serve as a liaison between the project center and remote project locations and staff.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant research methodologies and proper handling of all research materials in line with established protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, as well as conduct training sessions for project staff and participants.
  • Represent the project at meetings, seminars, and conferences.
  • Keep project participants updated on progress through regular reports and newsletters. Manage and maintain research project budgets.
  • Create financial forecasts and adjust research project budgets as necessary throughout the fiscal period.
  • Implement appropriate controls, monitor, and reconcile financial accounts.
  • Conduct literature reviews.

Supervision Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and is accountable for the quality and quantity of work produced by others.
  • Maintain ongoing supervision of up to 9 casual employees simultaneously.
  • Offer orientation and demonstrate procedures to new team members.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience is required.
