Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer with strong business insight to oversee projects and cultivate client relationships within the energy and natural resources sectors. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing client relationships and ensuring the quality of our professional services.
  • Overseeing the preparation of proposals and project documentation.
  • Leading and executing electrical engineering projects for industrial clients.
  • Developing and implementing effective work methodologies.
  • Supervising the creation and production of comprehensive study reports.
  • Designing power systems and approving associated engineering documents.
  • Managing the technical aspects of projects, including design reviews, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Sharing your expertise with junior engineers to facilitate knowledge transfer and technical succession.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Membership in the OIQ
  • 5 to 12 years of relevant experience in power systems and MV and HV equipment
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical installation safety
  • Comprehensive understanding of MV and HV equipment and switchgear
  • Intermediate proficiency with test equipment
  • Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and field monitoring
  • Knowledge of power flow studies, short-circuit studies, protection coordination, and arc-flash hazard analysis
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, MS Project, Excel)
  • Experienced with ETAP, EMTP-RV, CYME, and PSAF software
  • Bilingual in English and French, with the ability to draft technical documents in both languages
