Pest Control Technician Job Description

MetroKing Pest Control Inc. is seeking a skilled Pest Control Technician to join our team. As a Pest Control Technician, you will be responsible for providing effective pest control solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Identify: Inspect buildings and outside areas to detect signs of infestation, and identify the type of pest or rodent.
  • Provide Estimates: Provide estimates of costs for treatment and removal services.
  • Treatment and Removal: Determine the type of treatment required, prepare and spray chemical mixtures, and fumigate households as needed.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Use animal traps, electrical sprayers, mechanical sprayers, needle strips, and netting devices to control pests.
  • Client Focus: Advise clients on how to prevent pest infestation and book appointments for follow-up services.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in pest control or a related field.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, excellent oral communication, and ability to work in a team environment.
Work Conditions:
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
