Pilot - Base/Pool - SK - Permanent

The STARS Air Ambulance team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced helicopter pilot to join our Aviation team as a Base/Pool Pilot. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective transportation of patients in emergency medical situations.
Key Responsibilities- Safely Operate Aircraft: You will be responsible for safely and effectively piloting STARS aircraft, ensuring the well-being of patients and crew members.
- Aviation Medical Requirements: You must maintain a Category 1 aviation medical and adhere to strict medical standards to ensure your fitness to fly.
- Regulatory Compliance: You will be responsible for maintaining currency and proficiency with respect to aircraft flown, regulations, publications, training standards, and licensing requirements.
- Team Collaboration: As an active member of the STARS operational team, you will work closely with other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Fundraising and Public Relations: You may be required to participate in fundraising and public relations activities to support the STARS mission.
- Commercial Rotary Wing Licence: You must hold a valid Commercial Rotary Wing Licence.
- Helicopter Experience: You must have a minimum of 1500 hours of helicopter experience.
- Multi-Engine and Night/IFR Experience: You must have experience with multi-engine and night/IFR operations.
- Helicopter Airline Transport Licence Exams: You must have completed Helicopter Airline Transport Licence exams.
- Group 4 Instrument Rating and Helicopter Night Ratings: You must hold a Group 4 Instrument rating and Helicopter Night Ratings.
- Valid Class 1 Medical: You must hold a valid Class 1 medical.
- Airbus H145 Type Rating: An Airbus H145 type rating is considered an asset.
- Controlled Goods Security Assessment Application: You must be able to successfully complete the Controlled Goods Security Assessment Application for Night Vision Goggle purposes.
- Canadian Passport or Ability to Work in Canada: You must hold a valid Canadian Passport or be able to work in Canada and travel to the USA.
- Immunization Records: You must provide immunization records with required vaccinations.
