About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Dispatcher to join our team at SKT Logistics Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of vehicle operators and crews to ensure seamless transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure that all work records and logs are up-to-date and accurate, including vehicle operator work records and mileage tracking.
  • Coordinate Schedules: Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment to meet customer demands.
  • Monitor Workloads: Monitor personnel workloads and locations to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Provide Support: Assist with maintenance of communications equipment and provide support to vehicle operators as needed.
  • Dispatch Personnel: Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time.
  • Follow-up on Issues: Follow-up on issues with work orders and ensure that all problems are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Have knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices, as well as highway trucking and associated rules and regulations.
  • Process Information: Process and transmit information and instructions to coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment.
  • Respond to Urgent Calls: Respond to urgent calls from individuals who find themselves in life-threatening situations and require assistance.
  • Supervise Team Members: Supervise a team of 5-10 people, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train, but prior experience in logistics or transportation is an asset.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
