We are seeking a skilled Cook II to join our Patient Food Service team at the IWK Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing meals and snacks for patients at our Adolescent Intensive Services location.
Under the guidance of the Food Service Manager, Computer & Production Coordinator, and Food Service Supervisor, you will follow standardized recipes and food handling practices to ensure the highest quality of food service. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, reporting any issues or concerns to your supervisor.

Your Qualifications- Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Block II of Journeyperson cook required.
- Training in a Food Handlers course and WHMIS required.
- Previous cooking experience in health care or institutional food service preferred.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various diet types and food allergens.
