Job Summary

Leuschen Transportation is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Transportation Driver to join our team. As a School Bus Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Driver Safety: Direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures, complete logbooks and reports, and communicate with passengers, dispatchers, or other drivers using two-way radio systems.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Student Safety: Ensure children's safety when boarding and leaving buses and crossing streets while the bus is stopped.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Driver's License, Criminal record check, Medical exam, Driver's abstract, and Valid driver's license.
  • Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, Flexibility, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, and Team player.
  • Work Environment: 15 to 30 hours per week, with a permanent work term and the ability to work in English or French.
