Job Summary

NORTHSTAR QUILTING AND SUPPLIES INC is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations and budget activities to optimize financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans and forecasts to drive business growth and profitability.
  2. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Financial Operations Management: Oversee the organization's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll administration.
  4. Compliance and Risk Management: Identify and investigate compliance issues, and develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks.
  5. Investment and Funding: Design and manage investment strategies to optimize financial returns and ensure adequate funding for business operations.
  6. Financial Control Systems: Monitor and maintain financial control systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  7. Contract Management: Oversee the management of contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimal financial performance.
  8. Financial Data Analysis: Oversee the collection and analysis of financial data to inform business decisions and optimize financial performance.
  9. Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  2. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting and financial management, or equivalent experience.
  3. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in financial software and systems.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week. The work language is English.
