About the Role
EnviroEmplois is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our team in the Characterization and Environmental Rehabilitation department. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for managing various environmental evaluation projects (Phases I, II, and III), environmental rehabilitation of contaminated sites, and characterization of sediments, surface waters, and wastewater.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the department, including organizing weekly coordination and planning meetings, and managing resources.
- Manage personnel under your supervision, including coaching, mentoring, and developing staff skills, conducting annual performance evaluations, and creating individual development plans.
- Contribute to the development of the company's strategic plan and business development, as required by partners.
- Plan, organize, and control the various stages of environmental evaluation projects (Phase I, II, and III) and environmental rehabilitation of contaminated sites.
- Prepare service offers.
- Maintain client relationships.
- Ensure project deadlines are met.
- Supervise technicians and subcontractors.
- Compile data and write deliverables.
- Monitor project budgets.
- Approve supplier invoices and prepare project invoices.
- Participate in fieldwork.
- Act as a technical expert in environmental matters, supporting various company projects.
- Collaborate with all company departments to complete projects.
- Promote and apply the company's health and safety program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in geology, geological engineering, environment, or a related field.
- More than six years of relevant professional experience in the environment (environmental studies).
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective time management and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate in French and English, both orally and in writing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations.
- Autonomy, initiative, and attention to detail, ability to work in a team and in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
