Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Laborer to join our team at the City of Brandon. As a Laborer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the operation and maintenance of our water treatment plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver's License
- Grade 12, or Mature High School Diploma
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Safety Training
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to work at various heights
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, indoors and outdoors, in all temperature extremes and with a wide range of adverse conditions
Requirements
- Class of driver's license you hold
- Hours you are available to work & when you are available to start
- Types of equipment you have experience operating if applicable
- Other transferable work experience or certifications
Working Conditions
The Laborer will normally work full-time hours (40 hours per week, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday). Seasonal Laborers have the opportunity to apply for other opportunities, including permanent positions, which are only open to current City of Brandon CUPE Local 69 employees.
