Job Title: Storesperson

Job Summary:

The Storesperson provides critical support to the Main Operating Base by ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts receiving, issuing, shipping, and non-technical inspection of all materials, ensuring safe storage and compliance with regulations.
  • Trained, qualified, and authorized to conduct Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) operations.
  • Carries out waste product disposal for POL and other items, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Conducts stocktaking and completes stocktaking evaluations, generating reports and data as required.
  • Coordinates with approved vendors and local purchases, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
  • Prepares material transaction vouchers and other logistics documentation, maintaining accurate records.
  • Operates trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Completes aircraft maintenance documentation for the Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS), as applicable to the Stores operation.
  • Deploys to other main operating bases and/or remote sites, mobile repair parties, and ferry flights, as required.
  • Works shift work, as assigned, and provides on-job-training to other employees, including task supervision.
  • Attends training for trade and professional development, maintaining certification and qualification.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of material control and warehousing operations, Stores operations, shelf life, stock taking, shipping and receiving, HazMat, POL disposal, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
  • Ability to use standard computer systems and specialized computer systems applicable to the Stores operation.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) procedures, as it pertains to Stores.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems.
  • Ability to use standard computer programs and specialized ones as necessary in the performance of assigned duties.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles and tow tractors.
  • Minimum education level of grade 12 or equivalent and related training and experience in material control warehousing.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in material control and warehousing operations is required.
