Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Activities: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless execution of transportation services.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management on transportation performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, arranging for maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of dispatchers and drivers to ensure high levels of productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Logistics Planning: Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of our transportation services, including scheduling, routing, and inventory management.
  • Technology and Systems: Utilize electronic scheduler, dispatch management service software, and inventory control software to optimize transportation operations.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads and working under pressure.
  • Personal Qualities: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with a strong focus on client satisfaction and team collaboration.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a transportation or logistics role, with a strong understanding of transportation operations and logistics planning.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
