Job Overview

As a Mortgage Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating and verifying loan applications, assessing risk factors, and making informed decisions regarding loan eligibility. Your role will ensure that all documentation complies with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough reviews and underwriting of customer loans within your authority, escalating complex cases to management as needed
  • Examine due diligence documents to confirm the borrower's capacity and willingness to repay
  • Assess loan risks and request additional information when necessary
  • Make decisions on loan eligibility and approve or decline applications
  • Specify loan conditions as required
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, guidelines, insurer programs, and regulatory standards
  • Document and communicate the rationale for loan approvals or rejections
  • Review appraisal and site inspection reports
  • Maintain relationships with submitting agents and brokers
  • Determine pricing and manage the profitability of transactions
  • Identify and evaluate anti-money laundering and fraud risks
  • Oversee the loan pipeline and meet daily production targets
