We are in search of a strategic and experienced Branch Manager to lead our two locations in Kelowna: Prospera Centre and Mission Park. This role entails overseeing the leadership and management of both advice centre teams, ensuring exceptional member service delivery, coaching and development, community engagement, compliance, and the proactive growth of retail deposit and lending portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operations of our two Kelowna branches, including recruitment, training, mentoring, and coaching of branch personnel.
  • Guide the branch teams in aligning with the credit union's vision, values, and commitments.
  • Manage both branches as profit centres, achieving sales, deposit, loan, and membership growth objectives.
  • Analyze performance reports to identify trends and marketing opportunities within the branch's trade area.
  • Ensure seamless service delivery of products and services, encompassing financial planning, wealth management, personal mortgages, loans, deposits, mutual funds, insurance products, and commercial member needs.
  • Assess profit/loss potential utilizing information systems alongside personal industry knowledge and experience.
  • Engage in business development initiatives in the Kelowna area to expand our membership, asset base, and revenue.
  • Initiate and lead in-branch campaigns aimed at enhancing overall performance.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience in retail branches, consistently achieving branch goals and targets.
  • Expertise in coaching and mentorship, fostering team growth and development.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
  • Experience in change management is considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect and engage with branch teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven business development skills, with a track record of building positive member relationships and branch portfolios.
  • Knowledge of deposit-related products, personal lending, residential mortgages, and wealth management.
  • Exceptional sales and business development skills, with success in negotiating terms and conditions with members.
