Role Overview:
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to become an integral part of our Algorithms, Performance, and Tools (APT) team. This position involves enhancing Ocean, our open-source software development kit designed for tackling complex challenges using our quantum computers and hybrid solvers.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain software tools that facilitate problem-solving on quantum platforms.
2. Focus on the continuous improvement of the Ocean SDK and QPU development tools.
3. Write clean, well-documented, and testable code to support our software offerings.
4. Collaborate with internal research teams and the quantum computing developer community to ensure high-quality code for both open and closed-source software.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Several years of professional experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Python, with a solid understanding of programming languages and their underlying mechanics; knowledge of C++ is advantageous.
- Familiarity with quantum computing concepts and software development practices.
- Experience in managing end-to-end software projects, from architecture to implementation and documentation.
- Comfortable with API development and usage.
- Experience with open-source software development.
