Job Summary:

Kepler Communications is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineering Manager to lead and develop a world-class team of engineers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing a vision and growth strategy for the systems engineering team, assisting in system specifications for complex technical projects, and providing system-based analysis for project developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a vision and growth strategy for the systems engineering team.
  • Assist in system specifications for highly complex technical projects.
  • Provide system-based analysis for project developments.
  • Manage activities of the systems engineering teams.
  • Advocate for design to cost, design for test, and design for manufacturability.
  • Troubleshoot system behavior anomalies, determine root cause analysis, and provide technical guidance to steer the team towards resolution.
  • Clearly communicate with engineering stakeholders on test and verification plans.
  • Implement tool/MBSE-lite and configuration management.
  • Support design engineering on DFMA, DFT, and PFMEA.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering.
  • ~5+ years' experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment in a high-reliability technology industry.
  • ~ Direct experience in a systems engineering role in a multidisciplinary development project.
  • ~ Experience with systems engineering and requirements management/verification tools.
  • ~2+ years' experience leading and managing teams and technical staff.
  • ~ Ability to distill complex problems to fundamentals to solve with analysis, similarity, or creativity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in the Space Industry.
