Job Summary
The Storekeeper will be responsible for managing the inventory of permanent and consumable materials, ensuring their availability and quality in accordance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming materials, reconciling with purchase orders and processing documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure safe storage of materials.
- Monitor site needs and proactively respond to requests for construction materials.
- Answer questions regarding procedures and resolve discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs, and surplus supply.
- Maintain re-order levels for consumable materials and exercise general control over all activities in Stores.
- Organize shelves, maintain the outside area of the stores and yard in a safe, clean, and tidy condition.
- Perform cyclical inventory checks weekly.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently, structure tasks, and stay organized.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of Office Suite software.
- Proficient in the English language (written, reading, and speaking).
Preferred Skills
- LRT experience preferred but not required.
- Experience in Construction materials would be considered an asset.
