Job Summary

FarmingUK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tractor Driver and Farm Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Site Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our farm, including the maintenance of agricultural equipment, the care and welfare of animals, and the upkeep of our farm grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Agricultural Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all vehicles, machinery, and tools are properly maintained, cleaned, and inspected to ensure they are safe and ready for use.
  2. Animal Care and Welfare: Provide daily care and attention to our farm animals, including feeding, watering, and cleaning their enclosures.
  3. Farm Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the condition of our farm grounds, including gates, fences, and animal enclosures.
  4. Tractor Operations: Operate tractors and other heavy equipment as needed, including harvesting, hedge trimming, and mowing.
  5. Support the Visitor Centre: Assist with tractor operations and other tasks as needed to support our visitor centre.
  6. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment and buildings.
  7. Health and Safety: Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed and report any incidents or concerns to management.
Requirements
  • Experience in agricultural equipment maintenance and operation.
  • Knowledge of animal care and welfare.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor.
  • Valid tractor operating license.
