About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at Irving Oil Limited. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet all visitors, employees, and customers to our facilities in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a visible presence at all times to ensure the highest standards of safety and security are met.
  • Dispatch security team members, facilities personnel, and internal medical staff during emergency incidents or events.
  • Coordinate the arrival of emergency responders when necessary.
  • Enforce and govern the Facility Access Policy for all individuals entering our facilities.
  • Be a primary point of contact for all levels of the business.
  • Handle incoming calls and in-person inquiries efficiently and professionally.
  • Issue temporary ID passes to visitors, contractors, and employees as required.
  • Notify employees of visitor arrivals.
  • Contact emergency services and report incidents directly to the Security Operations Center.
  • Prevent and discourage unauthorized or unlawful entry to our sites.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Canadian driver's license required.
  • Graduate of a Criminal Justice or Police Foundations program is an asset.
  • Current First Aid certification is an asset.
