Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel

Foresters Financial Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide expert legal advice and support to our business units, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and accurate legal advice to business units on commercial contracts, procurement, and general corporate matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risks and achieve business objectives.
  • Manage external and internal legal resources, including paralegals and external counsel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business solutions.
Requirements:
  • 5-12 years of legal experience, with a focus on commercial law.
  • Subject matter expertise in two or more areas of law.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to identify potential sources of significant exposure and consequences.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues to non-legal stakeholders.
