About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Ideal Tile and Stone Ltd. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with tiles.
  • Mortar Application: Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
  • Tile Alignment: Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish.
  • Tile Cutting: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Tile Repair: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Tile Finishing: Install tile strips to complete the installation.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Setting: Various locations, including residential and commercial sites.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Work Conditions: Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
