Job Summary

Sunrise Farms, a leading poultry industry company, is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Safety and Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company standards.
  • Process Control: Monitor and document process control requirements, including line checks and critical control point checks.
  • Quality Control: Evaluate and report on product quality, including raw materials and outgoing products.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, audits, and quality control activities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with operations teams to ensure food safety and quality requirements are met, and communicate effectively with Quality Assurance Manager and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Education: University/Bachelor/Diploma in Food Science or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of related experience in the meat industry, preferably with knowledge of CFIA SFCR and GFSI (BRC) requirements.
  • Skills: Attention to detail, good time management, ability to work independently and as a team player, good communication and analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 25kg when required.
