We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team at Digital Shape Technologies Inc. as a key member of our financial operations department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coding, verifying, and entering invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Making bank deposits and preparing cheques for payment processing.
  • Receiving payments and ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Monitoring accounts receivables and taking necessary actions to ensure timely payment.
  • Conducting bank reconciliations for accounts holding Canadian and foreign currency.
  • Preparing employee payroll and ensuring accurate payment of wages and benefits.
  • Reviewing, coding, and calculating employees' expense reports for reimbursement.
  • Preparing T4 and RL-1 tax slips for employees and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Preparing reports and government remittances (source deductions, GST/QST, CNESST, etc.) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Producing monthly and quarterly analysis reports to provide insights into financial performance.
  • Preparing financial statements and providing assistance during audits.
  • Recording absences (legal holidays, sick days, vacation days, etc.) and ensuring accurate tracking of employee time off.
  • Administering group benefit plans and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Performing other related tasks as needed to support the financial operations department.
Qualifications
  • DCS in accounting, or equivalent degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of two years' experience as an accounting clerk or in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Autonomy and attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Honesty, discretion, and professionalism in all interactions with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French and good knowledge of spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge of the Acomba software is an asset, but not required.
