About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Wok Box - Meadow Lake. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Handling: Assist in the preparation, heating, and finishing of simple food items, including portioning and wrapping foods.
  • Inventory Management: Help maintain accurate records of food quantities used and restock refrigerators and salad bars as needed.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensure a clean and safe working environment by removing kitchen garbage and trash, and washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with our kitchen team to meet the demands of a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Previous experience in the food service industry is an asset.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive tasks and overtime required.
  • Personal Suitability: Strong team player with initiative and a positive attitude.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced kitchen environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 35 hours per week, with overtime required as needed.
