Job Title: Meat Cutter

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Bitar Groceries Ltd. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing meats for sale in our supermarket and meat department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cutting and preparing meats to customer specifications
  • Operating band saws and manual cutting utensils to cut carcasses and sides
  • Preparing special cuts of meat ordered by customers
  • Wrapping and packaging prepared meats
  • Removing bones from meat
  • Weighing meats for sale
  • Cutting poultry into parts
  • Prising meat products
  • Selling meats to customers
  • Grinding meats
  • Making special sausages
  • Shaping, lacing, and tying roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
  • Hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
Work Environment:

Our meat department is a cold/refrigerated environment, and you will be working in a fast-paced supermarket setting.

Language:

English is the primary language spoken in this role.

Hours:

30 hours per week, permanent position.
