Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to designated staff, including planning and implementing innovative approaches to delivering quality services.
  • Consult and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and family members to provide treatment and care coordination that promotes recovery and inclusion.
  • Act as a clinical resource for staff, supporting training, development, and education, as well as promoting research and evidence-based practice.
  • Assist the Manager in performing administrative duties, coordinating staffing, scheduling, clinical research, and reporting activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Manager, leadership team, and other healthcare providers to promote excellence in patient-centered care delivery within substance use services.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework and/or certification, with three years' recent experience working with a mental health and substance use patient population, including one year in a supervisor/leadership role.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
