Job Title: Freight Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Freight Supervisor to join our team at T.M.T. FREIGHT SYSTEM. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and organizing the logistics of our organization, coordinating activities with other work units or departments, and ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and organize operational logistics, including transportation, maintenance, and repair work.
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to minimize downtime and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Train workers in duties and policies to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate employee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Coordinate, assign, and review work to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support operations.
Work Environment:

Our work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with tight deadlines and a focus on attention to detail. As a Freight Supervisor, you will be working in a team environment with dispatchers, radio operators, shippers, receivers, transportation route and crew schedulers, and other support staff.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
