Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking a skilled Welding Instructor to join our team. As a Welding Instructor, you will be responsible for conducting classes in multiple welding processes, designing and delivering lessons, and evaluating student progress.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct classes in multiple welding processes, including selecting, designing, and constructing training aids and materials.
- Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, and lectures to educate students in welding techniques.
- Evaluate student progress through exams, assignments, and observations, and record student progress.
- Supervise students in classroom, shop, and lab settings, and provide guidance on program and job opportunities.
- Assist in maintaining equipment, inventory, and supplies, and attend staff meetings and industry seminars to stay current with industry requirements.
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Journeyperson Certificate in the Welding trade.
- Two years' recent/relevant post-Journeyperson experience as a Welder.
- Effective Communication Skills.
- Effective Interpersonal Skills.
- Effective Instructional Ability.
- Demonstrates valuing diversity.
