Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welding Instructor to join our team at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting classes in multiple welding processes, selecting and designing training aids, and evaluating student progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct classes in multiple welding processes at various levels.
  • Select, design, and update training aids and materials.
  • Evaluate student progress through exams, assignments, and observations.
  • Supervise students in classroom and shop settings.
  • Counsel students on program and job opportunities.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory management.
  • Attend staff meetings and industry events to stay current with industry requirements.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Journeyperson Certificate in the Welding trade.
  • Two years' recent experience as a Welder.
  • Effective instructional and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
