Chief Information Technology Officer - Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate, execute, and assess IT governance frameworks to align technology strategies with the company's mission and objectives.
  • Design and implement forward-thinking strategies to facilitate innovative and effective use of technology and offshore resources in line with business goals.
  • Establish and promote best practices across the organization while ensuring compliance with set objectives.
  • Manage risk assessment, resource distribution, project prioritization, and the evaluation of new systems and software solutions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop multi-year strategic IT plans that adapt to evolving IT landscapes.
  • Direct the formulation, allocation, and oversight of IT budgets and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with long-term business strategies.
  • Participate as a key executive in strategic planning to define and execute the organization's multi-year objectives.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of policies regarding IT usage, security, and operational practices.
  • Establish clear processes and guidelines to ensure consistent application of IT policies throughout the organization.

Chief Information Technology Officer - Required Qualifications

  • Over 20 years of experience in IT roles with a robust background in software development.
  • At least 10 years in a senior leadership role, with experience in organizational change management and offshore team oversight.
  • Extensive IT and business knowledge within the financial services sector, including tax preparation, retail banking, and fintech.
  • Proven track record in implementing digital and eCommerce technology solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of modern computer science principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with Agile, DevOps, Microsoft Azure, and IT Service Management is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive leader who exemplifies and promotes organizational values.
