Technical Services Engineer

Our client, a reputable IT solution company, is seeking a skilled Technical Services Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing technical support, installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, systems, servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide level 3 support for managed services, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring high levels of system performance and reliability.
  • Administer, manage, and optimize infrastructure components, including servers, networks, and cloud environments (Azure and Office 365).
  • Install and configure new equipment/systems according to specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential issues before they cause significant problems.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide direct support to external clients by responding to alerts issued by monitoring systems.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call support rotation.
Requirements:
  • A post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information Management or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a level 3 technical support role with a desire to develop technical and customer service skills.
  • Experience in providing network (wired & wireless) management & security architecture, design, implementation, and support for various IT environments.
  • Strong technical skills in supporting physical Hypervisor hosts, Windows Server Environment, Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, desktop applications, mobile devices, phone systems, and end-user hardware, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange/365.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking, including routers, switches, firewalls, LAN, WAN, VPN, network security systems, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Experience with Intune, Defender, Exchange, and other Microsoft applications.
