Job Opportunity: Director, Nunavut Bureau of Statistics

**Job Summary:**

The Government of Nunavut is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Director, Nunavut Bureau of Statistics. As a key member of the Department of Executive and Intergovernmental Affairs, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of statistical programs and policies that support the government's decision-making processes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement statistical programs and policies that meet the needs of the government and the people of Nunavut
  • Lead a team of statisticians and analysts to collect, analyze, and disseminate statistical data
  • Collaborate with other government departments and agencies to ensure that statistical information is accurate and reliable
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and other organizations
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest statistical methods and technologies to ensure that the Bureau of Statistics remains a leader in the field

**Requirements:**

  • Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in statistical analysis and program development
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
