Production Technician Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-focused Production Technician to join our team at Tolko Industries. As a key member of our production team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient production of Oriented Strand Board (OSB) at our High Prairie, Alberta facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work independently as part of a high-performance team dedicated to safety and efficient production of OSB.
  • Perform a variety of labor duties to increase productivity and reduce safety risks.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues in your area, and communicate with your team lead and maintenance to get things back on track.
  • Work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, which gives you flexibility to spend extra time with your family on days off.
Requirements:
  • Commitment to working safely coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including evenings and weekends, in a physically demanding industrial environment.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Previous experience in an OSB mill is an asset.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift or loader is an asset.
