Job Summary:

Tolko Industries is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Technician to join our team at our High Prairie Oriented Strand Board (OSB) Division. As a Production Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient production of OSB, a key material used in the construction of homes and buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain equipment in the OSB mill, ensuring optimal production levels and minimizing downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and repairing equipment as needed.
  • Monitor and control the production process, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact quality or efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably in an OSB mill.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
