Lac La Ronge Indian Band is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Youth Center Worker based out of Hall Lake Youth Centre.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, promoting, and evaluating programs for the youth attending the Youth Center. This includes planning and preparing activities, sports, games, and crafts, as well as ensuring open communication with participants, parents, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement programs for youth, including planning and preparing activities, sports, games, and crafts.
- Ensure open communication with participants, parents, and staff, responding to questions and concerns in a timely manner.
- Prepare and submit program outcome reports to the Councillor and Office.
- Work with other community agencies to provide programming and support to youth.
- Establish and maintain positive public relations in the community.
- Grade 12 Diploma or Equivalent.
- Combination of qualifications and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of local resources, agencies, and referral sources.
- Knowledge of the stages of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development needs of children.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Time Management, Planning, and Organizing Skills.
- Valid Safe Food Handler's Certificate preferred.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check, and Driver's Abstract.
