Seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Prevention Services Youth Worker in Sucker River, Saskatchewan.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will work closely with our Prevention Services Youth Supervisor to provide recreational opportunities that promote healthy active lifestyles for youth at risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based parenting programming to youth and families to support healthy family dynamics.
- Obtain accreditation in a Best Practice parent training program to enhance service delivery.
- Provide opportunities for youth and families to experience traditional lifestyle and cultural activities.
- Assist in facilitating workshops and seminars on parenting and life skills to empower families.
- Collaborate with community resource personnel to establish services for youth and remove barriers to access.
- Advocate for clients and assist in removing obstacles to their success.
- Coordinate activities, including group and family outings, to promote social connections and community engagement.
- Maintain accurate program files and records to ensure effective service delivery.
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Ability to provide a recent and satisfactory Criminal Record, Child Abuse, and Driver's Abstract Clearance.
